The Witzenhausen Cherry Pickers - Football with Heart and Passion

The Witzenhausen Cherry Pickers are the first American Football team in the Werra-Meißner district, founded in 2023 as part of SSV Witzenhausen 1972 e.V. Since then, the team has quickly gained recognition with its philosophy of making football accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, size, or fitness level.

With a co-ed approach, the Cherry Pickers offer both Flag Football and Tackle Football, achieving significant success in a short time, including a second-place finish in their inaugural Cherry Bowl I tournament. The team aims to further establish American Football in Northern Hesse and plans to increase player numbers and community involvement in the region.
