The Ratched Thumb Screw for Riddell Speedflex helmets.

A Ratchet Thumb Screw is designed to secure the Riddell SpeedFlex chin strap. The screws fit into the locking mechanisms of the Riddell SpeedFlex chinstrap. For a set (both sides) you will need two pieces two Ratchet Thumbs that can be used on either side. The Cam-Loc or Ratchet-Loc mechanism of the chinstrap is not included.

The RATCHET THUMB SCREW can fall out of the helmet if it is not securely fastened. All shock and vibration can loosen these important parts. These replacement parts are for all Riddell helmets with thumb screws, including the SpeedFlex.

If just one of these parts falls out of the helmet during play, the helmet can become virtually unusable until it is replaced. Good luck trying to find it in the grass or on the turf under the lights on Friday night. We recommend keeping this on hand in your bag as a backup in case one of these emergencies occurs.
